Best source for CPU support is the manufacturer website for the motherboard.
Z68 is a LGA 1155 chipset.
Much newer era of hardware.
The actual board I used for my Core 2 Quad Q6600 was the EVGA NForce 650i Ultra Socket 775...it was an awesome board BTW.

The goal is to take all the parts I can from this prebuilt Dell to a new motherboard and case and maybe overclock a little.
