pre-installed case fans?
Hey guys
I will be getting a PC case, called the NZXT Phantom 530. Quick question: Do you guys know if it comes with pre-installed fans? If not, how many case fans should I use?

Personally I would go with the H440 instead:

Cheaper, better looking, steel body, comes with several front fans, doesnt have DVD drive bays but nobody uses them anymore anyway.

The phantom 530 has one large fan in front and one in the back.

Ok, thanks :) changing now :D
EDIT: I see it's a mid-tower, rather than a full tower. Is it still easy to build inside of, with less space?

It's quite large for a Mid tower. For reference, the S340 is typical mid tower size and the H440 is giant mid tower size.

S340 dimensions: 17.51" x 7.87" x 17.00"
H440 dimensions: 18.71" x 8.66" x 20.08"
Phantom dimensions: 22.52" x 9.25" x 21.38"

Another large mid tower case that looks cool is the Corsair Vengeance C70.
19.72" x 9.13" x 20.98"
It's slightly larger than the H440.

I wouldn't worry about pre-installed fans anyways; they are usually all crap; and best bet is buy all of your own that are separate and of decent quality and install them as needed.

Some decent 3rd party fans (regardless of your case) are:
CoolerMaster, Corsair, Bitfenix, Cougar, NZXT
But again, they offer much better fans seperately then that of which they pre-install into their various cases. Ones that ship with cases already usually are much lower RPM, and overall quality is usually not equal; such as having Sleeve Bearing vs Ball Bearing or Hydro Bearing

I prefer cases like Vengeance C70; because it overcomes a major flaw most other cases under $150 range all suffer from design-wise; and that is that C70 allows you fans on both sides of the HDD Cage. Allowing good airflow to your CPU, lower motherboard, and most helpful is to your GPU(s).

http://i.imgur.com/GO6Bi.jpg < comes with an upper HDD cage with Fan as well, this just happens to show that removed; but again good options; both in regards to fan placement and also with regards to anyone with extremely long GPUs; like 280/290/295x2 for example.

If you want a decent, but smaller case, look at Corsair Carbide SPEC-003
If you like SPEC-003 but don't like the Window Side, look at Carbide 200R or 330R
