is 5mb of internet enough for online pc gaming?

i am going to test it anyway, by purchasing a unlimited hotspot, and buy a wifi adapter for my pc and connect to the hotspot. I think i will get around 5mb.

but is there anyone of you, who played online pc game with connecting to the hotspot? Hows the performance.

i am thinking about doing this because, the interruption of internet usage is a bit annoying

Cuz if we're talking 5Mbps/625kb then for a Hotspot thats going to likely be pretty terrible depending on the game.

For the person above me, SPEED CAN matter, it depends on how much data the game uses and how much available bandwidth the person has. Maxing out your bandwidth on a low speed connection Can cause higher ping/jitter.

I presume they meant 5 Mbit but for most games that is still enough, even if it is rather slow these days.
