No DSR or DLDSR in control panel
RTX 3080ti
i7 10700k
32gb 3600 ram
4k 144hz monitor

I just upgraded to 4k monitor 2 weeks ago , I noticed that DSR is missing and the new DLDSR feature that recently came out is not in control panel either, I just did a fresh reinstall and its still not there...

Something went wrong while displaying this content. Refresh

You will need to drop the resolution to enable dsr i believe. If you have a 4k capable monitor why would you want to use dsr anyway?

Just for the hell of it can run higher than 4k , saw video with GOD OF WAR running at 8k with DSR + DLSS Quality effectively giving a better picture quality just over 5k resolution . Just a fun thing to do with high end GPU but its missing and I know ppl can do it at 4k based on videos ive seen thus far.

are you using a dp cable?
nm, was thinking hdr which needs dp to work on most displays

That's in correct. You just require a 1920x1080 Display as the minimum.
DSR is still allowed at higher res.

DSR allows me to up-scale to 5K on a 1440p screen.
And up to 8K on a 4K screen.

Make sure to use DP 1.4 cable.

Sounds like the OP needs to disable Windows Auto Driver Install feature.
Run DDU in Safe Mode and wipe out all GPU Drivers.
Reboot and download + install the latest (either 510 WHQL or 511 WHQL Driver for Win10/11 64bit DCH type) ~ Install that and then restart when its done. Then check NVIDIA Control Panel again.

with a 4k display, you really dont want to use dsr to increase the res higher
thats just alot more work for the gpu do to since it will be drawing at the higher res
unless you want to capture at a higher res than the display

You may be required to set to 4K @ 60Hz in order to up-scale past 4K anyways. Since something like 5K or 8K is not going to be able to do higher then 60Hz

are you looking in the right place in control panel? click on manage 3d settings, scroll down to DSR factors
Kenpachi219 Jan 28, 2022 @ 1:13am
yeah it just doesnt show up at all and yes dp 1.4.
Carlsberg Jan 28, 2022 @ 1:53am
Your trying to upscale 4k to 4k and you can't i don't think, you need to drop the resolution to maybe 2560x1440 and then enable dsr and possibly you may get 5k equivalent. And as Bad Motha says you may have to lose the 144hz to do it, trade off performance for maybe quality? mmm not sure on that one.

Edit; as an added thought to that, your also trying to get a res that the monitor does not support which may in itself be an issue.

DSR does not have a 4K max upscaling.
This is just common to see because 4K is all you can up-scale to if using a 1080p Display.
If you have a 4K Native Display, then you can up-scale as high as 8K

But yes, you will need to first lower the refresh rate down to 60Hz.
Rather pointless, if you can actually run @ 4K @ 144Hz without problems; it doesn't get better then that.

just set monitor to 60 hz still doesn't not show up in control panel... this is very odd...

FIrst, do you have the latest drivers installed?

And second, there will be two settings, DSR - Factors and DSR - Smoothness. DLDSR is still just under DSR - Factors. It is the first two settings of DSR. Under DL Scaling, 1.78x DL and 2.25x DL.

Make sure the you have the latest Nvidia drivers installed.

Go to Nvidia Control Panel, click System Information, and list what Driver Version you are using.

DSR is always an option there; period, end of story.
If not then you must do what I suggested in Post #4
ZeekAncient Jan 28, 2022 @ 7:09am
My bad about the drivers, but check out what I found:

https://www.evga.com/support/faq/FAQdetails.aspx?faqid=59592

However, it does say that if you are using a resolution of 3840 x 2160 you will not be able to use DSR, but I am using 3840 x 2160 and able to use DSR.

Honestly, that might not help, but I was doing some research on it and I did find a post talking about how rolling back drivers can cause it to disappear, but now I can't find the damn post. But, yeah, maybe doing what is suggested in Post #4.

If not,

Here, this is an older post, but you might find a solution here:
