Nzxt s340 case and optical drive
Is there anything I can do to make my internal optical drive work with my NZXT s340 case? I don't see a slot for it, but I already got both pieces, and would rather not return either. Is there a panel I can buy that would allow me to put the optical drive in the case (there looks to be room if I could get the panel with a new slot for it), or maybe an IDE to USB cable, or something along those lines.
If I need to use the ide to usb converter cable, is there a way to make it so I can plug more than two usb cables into the case ( for example, the external drive, the keyboard, and a mouse)?

No, there's no optical drive mount in the S340. You will need an external optical drive or drive case.

The only reason to have an optical drive is to play DVDs though. Everything software/driver related including games can be downloaded from online.

Disk is not necessary as long as you have the key from the package. Just download Win 10 onto USB drive and then enter the key when prompted.

Or use a another system that has DVD reader and then use the Win7-USB-to-DVD-Tool to make ISO from Win10 DVD to USB Flash Drive.

You also could have purchased your Win10 as USB Flash Drive instead of DVD.

This. Plug the DVD drive into a SATA slot, boot from it, install Windows and then remove it.
It makes no sense to buy one of the very few optical drive-less cases and then ask for a way to install an optical drive.

Yeah, I kind of assumed all cases had an optical drive slot. by the time I found out that the case didn't have one, it was already being delivered...

I would just go ahead and make yourself an OS backup of the installer DVD onto Flash Drive; so u never need the DVD for this sort of reasons. Once you have it on Flash Drive, that is all you'd need. Plus if u use a bigger Flash Drive then the OS installer needs, you can store extra files on there as well.

But yes you could just use a SATA or USB Optical Drive for this very use.
I just keep a USB 2.0/3.0 compatible DVDRW around now for such situations. As sometimes we need it for other reasons than just the OS installer.
