My new Radeon HD 6850 wont display ANYTHING

I recently bought a new Power Color HD 6850 and it just says 'no signal' on my kogan tv but im not sure if my power supply is good enough. i have a Codegen Super Power 600w psu. and i did buy a used one from ebay. i cant be stuffed to buy a new psu, why???

get a better power supply
that 600w is only good to 300w before going way out of spec
6850 is a 130w gpu alone
and the c2d build is over 200w with drives ect..

8400gs is only 40w

Yup, you'll need a new psu.

Research the psu next time you buy and the basic rail that matters most is the +12v for example the evga 600w B has 49a on the +12v rail x 12 = 588w vs your codegen 600w that only has 300w usable.

600B is ok , I looked at your pricing you guys get hit as hard as us Canadians. If you can scrape up another $30 the evga supernova 750 B2 will get you into an upper class psu the insides are based off the superflower design also it can deliver max power at 50c most psus can only do it at 40c these days, either way you'll have a decent psu with which ever one you get.

My budget is 200$ things im going to get: EVGA 600B 600W PSU and probably the Pentium G3258 for that extra gaming performance. but, i wonder if the Pentium is upgradable from the Core 2 Duo E8400. and TabrisDarkPeace my mum ages ago got my pc from her work. not sure why that piece of ♥♥♥♥ psu is in there. i just want to upgrade a few parts so i can play a fair bit of games like csgo and stuff. Also im running Windows XP 32-bit. soon ill be getting Windows 7 64-bit

No a Pent G will not work on a Core 2 Duo motherboard, you would need a whole new motherboard. They are completely different sockets. The Pent G is loads better than a C2D.
And you would Need new RAM as well, all of which is probably over $200

the best you could do is a Quad Core Q8xxx or Q9xxx series CPU, but youd have to look on ebay or a similar site, which they are a bit cheap on ebay.. Though im wary buying PC parts that way..

yeah, i wasnt very sold when i saw used cpus.. XD
