Remote Desktop PC to Laptop for Gaming?
So I'd LOVE to play Fallout 4, but the problem is my current laptop doesn't have the specs for it. So, I was thinking I'd buy a desktop PC for all my gaming needs, but I'd rather not have a monitor/keyboard/mouse take up my entire (tiny) desk, leaving no room for my laptop or books. Also, I'm not interested in a new laptop right now.

The solution I came up with (and feel free to tell me if it's a dumb idea) is to remote desktop to the PC from my laptop. That way, I can still move my laptop around/make space, while getting the better perfomance.

So I was wondering if you guys think I'd be able to play Fallout 4 through remote desktop or is that asking too much, even on low settings? Would it be a huge strain on my wifi and/or would it be possible to connect through some cable like ethernet/HDMI?

Actually Steam already has a solution to this, you can run Steam on both machines and the desktop can stream the game to your laptop via Steam's own streaming feature
