2 Questions... #1 how to hook up Z906 Logitech speakers on a gigabyte z97x-gaming 5 MOBO and #2 windows 10 login question...
I'm told it works fine with it

My Z906 subwoofer has three options to connect, only option one is included.

It consists of
1 pink plug
1 green or gray plug
1 black plug

It does not provide any more information other than inputs. Nor do the instruction manual, nor their website.

it provides a cable attachment for the same colour scheme

My PC has

Spdif out (N/A for this)
Speaker Rear
C/sub
Mic
Line out
Line in

What do I hook up where?

2nd question

Everytime I turn the computer ON it starts up and I have to sign in...

How can I make it just turn on without the unnecessary step of signing in?

You should really use digital optical cable (SPDIF Out), if possible. All you need is a cable from any computer store - it's called a TOSLINK.

Then if your sound card supports Dolby Digital 5.1, upscale the audio to that.

Green one should be plugged to Line out
Pink (it should be orange) plugged to C/Sub
Black should be plugged in to Read output.

Hope this helps

I'm assuming it's because he didn't have the cable for it. You have to purchase a TOSLINK cable separately, but they don't have to be expensive (price range varies like crazy $5-200) and digital audio can then just be sent via the single cable.

It will just need to be encoded (Dolby Digital or DTS, etc) to upscale it to 5.1 surround. If audio encoding is not supported, the signal might only come out the front speakers (not rear).

Use TOSLINK when u have Speakers/Audio Chip/Card that all supports that; it is much preferred.

Then in Windows you should have "Speakers" and "SPDIF Out" (may vary depending on Audio Chip/Card) and when using Optical TOSLINK, set the SPDIF Out as your Default Playback Device. Speakers would be the Analog Rear/Front Audio connections.

For an Analog Setup, should be this:
Line Out (Front) = Green
Center/Sub = Orange (not used in a 4.1 config)
Rear = Black
*When using all of these together, then Windows (Speakers) needs to be configured for 5.1

Line In = (Blue) For other Input Audio Device, such as feeding in audio from another device/audio source. For purposes such as Recording, or simply wanting to feed in another audio source (such as another PC) and have it also output through your connected Speakers/Headset.

Mic In = (Pink) Obviously for a Microphone; but the Mic Input usually has a Amp Boost of some kind, Line In does not.
