Hello, I need help because i want to build my first entry level gaming pc and idk if motherboard Asus H310M-K R2.0 compatible with i3-9100f or i should go with Gigabyte H310M M.2 2.0 if it's compatible, my budget is not high about 300$-350$ you can recommend me cheap motherboard that will be good other things i want to buy are:
Graphics card: Used Rx 570
Processor: Used I3-9100f
Power Supply: : SeaSonic S12II 520w 80+ Bronze
Case: Powerlogic t5x II pro Black

Clearly a reviewer that was paid to say that, because in reality, A320 is just awful for the price while B450 doesn't cost much more, usually around the same price.

Again: No overclocking support for CPU or RAM, horrible VRM that will limit a lot of CPUs, bad RAM compatibility, and probably no access to PBO either which is a huge disadvantage.

No less than B450, the A series chipset isn't worth buying.
U think i am living on money or what?
Your money would literally be better off used on an H410+10100F than an A320+1600AF. This is the cheapest tier of hardware worth buying, so if that's too much for you, you're better off getting a PS5/XBSX.

Granted, the new consoles are going to give a better experience regardless because you're only using an RX 570 which is quite a bit below what the consoles can do.

Tons of people regretted buying A320 in the end, so if you choose not to listen, it's your own fault.

The R2.0 version does, but not the original model (H310M-K). Make sure it's the H310M-K R2.0.

I found on site multicom that Asus H310M-K R2.0 does support only 8th gen intel cpus...
[☥] - CJ - Feb 13, 2021 @ 9:10am
Intel® Socket 1151 9th / 8th Gen Intel® Core™, Pentium® Gold and Celeron® Processors

Core i3-9100F (3.6GHz, 65W, L3:6M, 4C rev.U0) BIOS 0418

AS LONG as its the R2.0 model and the BIOS that comes with it is AT LEAST 0418, it is supported.

You could have easily gone to the ASUS support section for that board..
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/PRIME-H310M-K-R2-0/HelpDesk_CPU/

You should also update the BIOS to the latest possible, its latest update was Nov of 2020 so it would be worth updating.

Processors Chipset: Intel® H310 Express

dunno what to tell you then
ASUS support does list it as being compatible

If your location doesnt offer the board with the required BIOS from the start i suppose that could be why..

dunno

But what will be good Motherboard and CPU combo for 80-90$ or only motherboard for 9100f that is about for 60$?
_I_ Feb 13, 2021 @ 10:22am
get a better board
the untel xx10 chipsets are bottom end for office pcs
weaker vrm config will not allow the cpu to turbo as high as it can for longer periods of time

the h310 board will support the 9100f, even with unsupported bios enough to update bios
update bios before installing windows, use another pc to download and unzip the bios pkg to a usb stick, and use bios tool to update

Asus PRIME H310M-E R2.0
has a 2+1+1 vrm config, about 25w/ch
2 cpu + 1 vrm + 1 igpu (not usable with the f cpu) = 75w max
too weak for any cpu over 50w (only supported due to vrm throttling, will never hit max cpu performance)

pick a board with 4 dimm slots and 5+ sata ports

But i dont want office pc, i want entry level gaming pc, bcs RX 570, i3-9100f, and 8GB ram (2x4) are not that bad, just want to play like gta 5 on medium or high on 60+ fps or CS:GO on 200+ on low that's it...
_I_ Feb 13, 2021 @ 10:35am
the price diff for the better board is about $10-15
get one that can handle the cpu without vrm throttling
