Question about P5Q Asus - motheboard for desktop
Outdated :
Regard an previous thread I asked the community about the gpu Geforce GTX 550ti if was able to operate with Intel 2 Duo Core technology my other doubt goes now on this.On the pages,I have searched wikipedia show this gpu have the connection,Bus interface of
Pcie 2.0x16.When I go verify if this motherboard have same gpu connection it say only Pcie v2.x,my real question is :
-What does it mean Pcie v2.x,x could be generic number,16,15...;
-Does it mean the gpu will be able to work on this motherboard ;

Update :

I got another question about this motherboard related to PCIE interface connectors,it say does only handle 2.0 version but would be possible to insert any gpu do have PCIE 3.0x16 ?

Hey I have other silly question,since I'm not getting solutions to find anymore this video card in my country on sale,a week ago were selling but at high price,so I'd stay back waiting to lower the price,now 8 stands were selling are not anymore,just vanished from the market.
Anyway...this question,about this motherboard related to PCIE interface connectors,it say does only handle 2.0 version but would be possible to insert any gpu do have PCIE 3.0x16 ?
Also,would interfere when trying to connect the gpu into motherboard,or it would simply not work at all ?
Is really annoying to know this video card is out of the market and there are plenty of series 6xx,7xx,like 650,750,680,970 still sell but excessively costly and the price was on GTX 550 ti 2gb was near the same like these newest,I would like to know if it is possible or not to insert these gpu with PCIE 3.0x16.

You can use a modern PCI-E 3.0 GPU in a 2.0 slot motherboard as PCI-E is backwards compatible. It won't bottleneck the card as there is still enough bandwidth on 2.0 for a single 3.0 card.
