Trying to remove Edge but keeps telling me The system cannot find the path specified.
Following the steps here:

https://www.tomsguide.com/how-to/how-to-uninstall-microsoft-edge

I browsed to the folder in Windows Explorer and there is no folder just named Edge. But there are folders named:

EdgeCore
EdgeUpdate
EdgeWebView
Temp

So which of these do I have to navigate to please?

edit:

Here are the errors. It cannot find the folder despite that it exists

C:\WINDOWS\system32>cd %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Microsoft\Edge\Application\44.19041.423.0\Installer

From Windows/System32 you need to step back a directory first, then move into the one you want;

cd.. <enter>
cd Program Files (x86) <enter>
That wouldn't work either, since he has to go back 2 directories.
On that case he'd have to either use "cd.." 2 times, or use "cd\"to return to the drive's root directory.

However since he types the full path it would work anyway no matter which directory he is in.

@OP: The first command is properly formed but obviously the directory "44.19041.423.0" doesn't exist.

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application and check the name of the directory, then use the proper directory name in the command.

I.e. mine is 92.0.902.73, so I'd have to use:
cd %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Microsoft\Edge\Application\92.0.902.73\Installer

NOTE I highly suggest you don't remove Edge because you will probably break your system.
It is evident that you are not tech savvy, so my advice is: Edge doesn't eat up resources, leave it alone. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I looked up the version number. And it's 44.19041.423.0.

But I've browsed to the folder and I can see 92.0.902.73 in there.

Not tech savvy? Of course I am. I want that pos gone from my system. So I'm going to remove it.

also using open shell start menu replacement (no tiles)
used O&O shutup10 , disabled cortana telemetry etc

I use Firefox for web browsing with duckduckgo and avira browser safety addons (blocks some advertising stuff and third party cookies) some sites might not work properly but others work faster for me. e.g. less anoying ads on youtube

also removed all xbox related apps (game bar is still known to cause issues in games)no game bar, no problem for me.

Network set to metered (less chance of ping spikes when gaming) limits MS ability to download updates in the background while gaming.

Not had any slowdowns or issues without edge.

Thanks.

I've disabled windows updates. So it can't download anything in the background.

I've disabled all the services. I only allow it to update if a game requires it. Otherwise I don't care.

I don't know if it's just me, but i can't even proberly uninstall netflix and spotify from windows.
A few days ago i clicked on uninstall, but 3 seconds later windows said that it installed it again.
you are really asking for a lot if you want to delete edge. As someone already said, just wait for the next windows update, till they will reinstall it again.
Just delete all shortcuts and forget about it.

Revo Uninstaller always successfully nailed it for me.

Though removing Edge cause a couple Update snafus.

Must be joking, is MS that desperate for people to use edge in W11?

Windows / Microsoft in a Nutshell:
Are you sure you don't want to try out edge. It is the fastest, most secure and "private" web browser. Wha? you want proof? wait a sec. Here are our 100 page long privacy policies!!!
wha? you want me to summ it up in 2 seconds? Sorry I'm not getting paid for this. Who reads privacy policies anyway nerd?

Why? Microsoft just going to shove it back on you at another point, I just left it alone, and use another browser.

Also if it say can't find path to it, then likely corrupted, something wrong in the registry, or something stopping it from seeing that path example you compress the files size too much making it unreadable, or did some kind of encryption that it not working well with.

Also when dealing with in system32 don't fool around in there if you don't know what you're doing.

They aren't going to shove it back on there. Because that is only step one of the removal process. I did a similar thing with internet explorer back in Windows 7. But this is different. And it's very frustrating.
I am using another browser but I want that piece of ♥♥♥♥ off my system. I don't like that it runs in the background eating up resources.
1st of all that's windows 7, 7 has more freedom then 10, 2nd even if you uninstall it, an update will always bring it back

Which I will then delete. It doesn't matter how much they want it to be on my system. I will destroy all traces of it.

Imagine being so greedy you force people to jump through hoops just to remove a crappy browser that nobody wants to use.

Imagine if it was just in one single directory, neatly organised, and all you had to do was hit delete? Now its spread into multiple locations and hidden like a virus.

If you don't know microsoft collects all your data. For some people it even force installs without their permission.
Oh no, whatever shall I do!
Well, if you havent taken measures against it, what you shall do is share all your private information with anonymous strangers.
