Arma 3 (Altis Life, Battle Royale) on AMD Athlon X4 860K

Hi,

I'm planning to get a budget gaming pc:

Athlon X4 860K
Radeon R9 380
8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport

I'm not sure if Arma 3 (particularly multiplayer modes like Altis Life, Battle Royale) will run well on that CPU. I read somewhere AMD could probably interfere with Arma 3. It is said one should rather go for Intel (i3 or higher). Well, my budget is limited and I'd like to stick with AMD since its price is quite neat. I want to play Arma 3 on medium settings, do you think it will work out? Can anyone recommend some benchmarks?

For amd I'd stick with no lower than FX 6300 ^.

6:00 mark hits Arma3 ^ but the FX 6300 is at 4.5ghz 4-4.2 ghz is a more realistic overclock because not all chips overclock the same. The i3 is in there too ^.

i3 seems to do well ^.

Ps, i3 is 2 core and 4 threads good for todays gaming, intel G is 2core 2 threads crud for todays gaming.

It will work, but don't expect a solid 60fps, even at medium settings.

if its a new build get an i3 or pentium g
arma3 does better with core performance

if your budget is higher get an i5

don't know for your proc, but I have the same card as you , but an I5 3550 3,3 Ghz ... not the fastest but i'm about 35-40 Fps in open fields and 50 - 55 Fps inside, all on ultra ....

you don't need 60 fps, it's playable at 40 fps ... 8 GB memory is enough , the game never consume more than 4 Go .....
