Can my PSU run a GTX 750 Ti?
I'm looking to make a very minor upgrade to my PC. However, I'm unsure if my power supply is sufficient for this card.

My PSU is 450 watts, 12v1=18 a and 12v2=18 a. Is this sufficient? If not, I'll look into a less demanding card. Thanks for the help!

Even a cheap 300 watt PSU found in a prebuilt PC can handle a GTX 750 Ti.

300w psu would do
brand/model?

oem 300w will be ok
but diablotek or thermaltake 300w will not
GTX 750 Ti uses 60 watts max (hardware regulated) even if you overclock it to the max. My PC using that with 5 year old i5 650 3.2 GHz, 8 GB RAM only uses a total of 150 watts AC input (measured with "Kill A Watt" meter). It suits me fine for the Steam games I currently play in Linux.

So your PSU should be fine. Depending upon your budget you might even want to consider GTX 950 (90w) or GTX 960 (120w), which is only a little over the 116 watts of my old less efficient GTX 550 Ti (GTX 750 Ti does most things faster using nearly half the power).
Thanks for the feedback, guys! The brand of my PSU is Powerman. Model number: ip-s450cq2-0 g
pick up a cx430
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026
its currently $40 -6 code EMCKKNS22 = $34 shipped and $20 rebate = $14ar

then you can easily run a gtx 960 or r9 270/370

GTX 750ti is only a 60w card. Its designed to be run on low wattage or crap quality PSUs, making it a decent choice for OEM PCs and prebuilts.

Your PSU isn't a particularly good one, and I wouldn't trust any high end or mid range card such as the GTX 950 or 960 with it. However the GTX 750ti should be ok. You'll want to avoid models which require a 6pin connecter.
Thanks again for the help everybody! I appreciate it!
