My 360 controller turns off when bumped?
I have recently developed a problem where I will sometimes accidentally bump my 360 controller and it will turn off. It doesent happen too often but it is getting annoying. Any idea what is causing this and how I can fix it or should I just get another gamepad.

More than likely a loose connection inside the controller.

Might be able to fix it, if it is something as simple as a loose wire... but if it is a contact on the board, you might not be able to.

Open her up and see what is going on.

Open the battery compartment and inspect that area; there are spring-contacts on the controller side that give contact and overall fit to the batteries. If these springs have been compressed or weak over time you have issues with losing power due to no contact with batteries.

You can careful extend these spring-contacts a bit further just be careful not to over-stretch them and/or break them. Inspect rest of the battery compartment area for any build up from batteries being installed too long. If you take lengthy breaks for controller usage (like a month or more) remove the batteries to avoid leakage as that would generally make the product no longer usable once this occurs and the battery acid has hardened.

also check the connectors at the bottom of the battery holder

Possible too; but the ones inside the plastic cover (where the batteries are held) is basically just a flat piece of metal connecting the two batteries. If this is the issue, then you'd basically need to replace the plastic battery cover part, as it does not come apart without breaking it.

The part that wears out more would be the springs, at the bottom edge of this compartment are on the controller-side.

But still; yea check over anything like this for problems, such as build-up or corrosion. As anything of that sort could easily result in iffy connections with batteries, buttons, overall functions, etc. Not hard to clean if need be. And most controllers can be fully dissembled and cleaned by the user with ease, just take your time and ensure of how it comes apart, so u can assure it goes back together with good proper fitting when all done.

The solution is to either:

1. Put piece of paper into the whole in the center of battery cartridge, that's solution number one.
2. Extend the springs of batteries.

Doing this will 100% solve the issue
