K is for better overclocking.

i know, but there is also a difference between the clock...
the non k has 3.4Ghz and the k has 4.0 Ghz...

i would like to prevent bottlenecking

And normally i don't overclock my Hardware...

If you don't care about price then get the 6700K. The base frequency won't matter when the CPU is getting loaded. The lower frequency applies when the CPU is idle and doesn't turbo.

There are some minor differences, but I would recommend going with the K variant. You may not overclock but it gives you that option down the road.

The non k variants have extra features when using Virtual machines. But to most users these extra features will never be used. This doesn’t stop you using virtual machines though!

With that cpu you will not see any bottlenecking for along time if ever, many people are still using ivy bridge 3770 cpus without any issues,

for current games, the 6700 non k will be fine
when games do need more speed the k ver will be better

any current gpu will be the weak point with those cpus
If the K isn't much more expensive definitely get the K.

You can squeeze another year or two out of K CPUs so they really pay for themselves.

If price is an issue, get the i5-6600k instead of the i7-6700. Same price, much better performance.

Ok...
I'm getting the k Version (cost 25€ more than the non k)

Thank you all
