for 1440p 60 or 1080 144 a gtx 980 would be ideal
If you do a lot of work on your PC (Office stuff for example) then 1440p would be the way to go. Being able to tile windows side by side without a horizontal scrollbar is a real boon.
Resolution depends on the size of the monitor. But anything larger than 23 inch and 1080p becomes too blurry, just my personal opinion. But then again, real men buy 27 inch screens and larger, so 1440p is a must in that case.

Troll all you need too, facts don't lie.
Well im using a 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitor, and even then i can see the pixels if i lean even slightly forward... It depends on personal preference. Others may not have good vision to notice much difference. But i am personally waiting for a 4k 144hz gsync monitor.
It's all about pixel density for me.
Im a man but my wallet is a peasant :(
Although this monitor would be for around 70% gaming 30% office work so it is pretty important to me. Im running a 720p monitor from 2009 so it'll be an improvement either way heh.
