Is 1000 dpi good enough?

Is a thousand dpi good enough for gaming? I was thinking about getting a new mouse just for gaming. Will I notice any difference if I was to get a mouse that is half or 2x more? I think I haven't used any mouse with dpi over 1000 in my entire life.

1000dpi isn't even enough for me in MS Office. I currently have settled with 3200-3500dpi, but that's just me.

1000 dpi is way too slow on 1080p monitor, 3500 dpi is decent.

2000 dpi for 1080p resolution works best for me. It also should be considered that size of screen might have some impact on preferred dpi setting. And finally in higher end mice dpi setting can be adjusted through software, so making it lower than your sensor is capable of is not big deal.

Not if you are serious about gaming. Get something that is at least capable of 3500-4000. 2000 is decent but 1000 is office mouse territory.

It is all preference really...

I personally like 2000 DPI with a quick shift of 400 DPI (for shooters or anything else that I need to make smaller, more precise movements).

Logitech G700s I had a lot of driver problem and the mouse problem the dpi is 200 dpi - 8200 dpi, I do notice the lower dpi on the Optical G602 I do not run the dpi that high and I have a 29" monitor and this is my third Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse, I like this mouse better

First off you don't need any drivers. Even if u use SetPoint to make changes; those settings save to the mouse itself. And also, doesn't matter the size of your display, it's the screen resolution that matters with regards to mouse DPI.

DPI depends on the size of your monitor and its resolution, which is more comfortable for you.
