1. reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package
2. reinstall directx 9.0c from microsoft or filehippo mirror.
3. reinstall intel hd5500 gpu driver for windows 10 and restart computer.
I'm thinking that is problem with ALS - Ambient Light Sensor and Smart Energy Management
I'm tested this problem on W10 and Ubuntu - both OS don't have specific driver and soft for this
On W10 random variations in brightness of the screen
On Ubuntu - continuous random variations in brightness of the screen
4 try reinstall EnergyManagement Driver, Software, and Intel Energy Management FrameWork and Onekey Theater (they need .Net 2.x OS will install it "on demand" and Visual C++ (see 1. in chiefputs's post)
5 + try use media keys Fn+UpArrow, Fn+DownArrow, Fn+F2
Anyone solved it yet?
I'm on an XPS 13 (early-2015 model) running Windows 10 Home Single Language. i5-5200 model.
Anyone found a fix yet??
Key in '-autoconfig'
This should fix it
