Weird low volume when shooting in games
Pretty much the tiltle...
After the last Windows update my volume is lowered a lot even with everything cranked up..so high that i can destroy my ear in 5 minutes by listening music or play battlefield games..but now whenever i fire a gun in a game the volume gets low and i don't know why,i tried almost everything...
To put into prespective in the division with everything at 5% volume the volume is still super hight that prevents me to hear anyone in discord and such...now at 5% is like dead silent, even the voices on discord get somewhat distorted.

(i tried to change headset aswell but same problem)

Wipe and redo all your drivers.
Chipset, gpus, audio, lan, wifi, bt; etc.
Then set your volume and all and enable Virtual Surround in sound settings in Windows and also disable the option of lowering volume when certain sounds are loud. It's all in the Windows Playback/Recording section like it has always been on previous WinOS

Wipe just the audio driver via Programs and Features. If it's not listed there, then wipe it out via Device Manager.

Download and install the latest one from the motherboard or audio chipset maker. On most though, yes the Master volume gets reset to approx 67% after a audio driver change, as it would reset the audio back to all defaults.

Don't let Windows Updates handle Drivers for you.

I manually update mu drivers but this time is the first time this thing happened,at first i had low volume overall and i manage to crank it up until now,now it's the same as before but the shots from games lower it down..ddu will work better for that?

I had a similar problem a while ago until I discovered I had another program running in the background with it's own settings and volume controls. It was conflicting with the Windows sound settings/volume controls. You may have the same issue depending on your machine. For me, it was an app called 'OMEN audio control'.

Yes DDU works for audio. It has Audio remove options without touching your Chipset or GPU drivers.

I have nothing like that, the only thing i have the new MSI ( i suppose) Realtek HD Audio Manager, which it changes settings alongside windows and windows takes it's effects like the equalizer and such,i mannually check both same settings.

Should i do it in safe mode? Or it's safe for this kind of drivers to do it normally?

Double check your Realtek HD manager. Keep your windows volume settings on max etc but mess around with the volume and equaliser settings in there to and see if you notice any overall changes.

The other OS controlled settings are under Windows Audio, right click the White Speaker Icon to get to those. Where it lists playback and recording defaults and auch. If you click Properties or Advanced that's where Virtual Surround and the Communications settings are. Under communications, change this to "Do Nothing"
