Need some help with my Msi gaming laptop please
Now if you’re requiring about my old threads I’ve already fixed my gaming tower. This is a completely different issue with a completely different computer.

I recently bought a MSI gaming laptop called the MSI katana 15 - ms-1585. No, I’m not expecting a team to run cyberpunk at 144 FPS on Max settings. I know the computer only has 6 GB of VRAM but it should not be stuttering as bad as it is with the games that I’m trying to run. Regardless of my turn down or not it still performs terrible with light gaming.

I’ve uninstalled norton 360, disabled integrity memory, set to extreme performance in MSI center. Uninstall, reinstall all drivers.

I guess the last thing that I could do is reinstall windows as mentioned in one of the forms. That makes absolutely no sense why I’m having extreme micro stuttering and crazy FPS drops. Even on games like GTA San Andreas which makes zero sense. With all games that I play is only taking 50% GPU usage and like 40% CPU usage and doesn’t go any higher than that. My temperature stay between 45 to 65°C.

Any tips and help would definitely be appreciated

Bios Optimization, in-game optimization, what resolution are you playing at ?
Did you disable the integrated GPU in Bios ?

I played Cybershrek on Medium Win 7 1K with an Asus Strix RX-570 4gb VRam.
Same computer now, playing 2K res. on Win 10.
You need to Benchmark till FPS falls into a reasonable & playable margin but this will be your last tuneup, after you're done above.

Wait, I tried looking up MSI katana 15 - ms-1585, and I found this:
https://www.pawnamerica.com/Product/MSI_Katana_15_MS_1585_Core_i7_13620H_2_4GHz_RTX_4060_16GB_RAM_1TB_SSD_15_6_25223034058

It has an 8GB RTX 4060, so I'm confused about the 6GB VRAM statement, unless it can be reconfigured with another GPU, like the 6GB RTX 4050. Still, at 1080P, the RTX 4050 should be okay'ish in games I believe, just no max graphics and forget RT.

If there’s a 4050 in here. There’s only six gigs, but that’s all I need for the titles that I’m trying to run. It’s only 1080 I’m trying to run.

The bios is pretty empty when it comes to settings. Very minimum can be changed.
And this computer only supports 1080P
