my laptop is stupid as a bucket of bolts

couldnt delete a picture from my google drive, saying its in use via com surrogate, it can be a virus i read but thankfully i just needed to restart my pc to wake it the ♥♥♥♥ up to allow me to delete it. wtf

other times when i set my phone on the corner of my laptop, the stupid thing goes into sleep mode and or when im at my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ keyboard, the dumb thing cuts me off as it goes to idle mode
i tried looking for a way to stop this in settings but found nothing

and rarely i get the recycle bin is corrupted ♥♥♥♥ on a blank screen, how and why is that a thing?
idk what that is but i did caught something on my old tower that effected boot up thing which shut down my computer after turning it own. now i fear some sick ♥♥♥♥ out there could create a virus that prevents you from turning off/on your computer, giving them all the time in the world to access your files

Which model of Laptop?
How old is the Lsptop?
What OS version and build are you using?

I would strongly suggest just backup whatever you need of C Drive and wipe the Laptop clean with a self made OS install media usb flash drive

so just shut down com surrogate in task manager. if that does not work, disable its survice.

And if you were able to address something with an OS Restart, you usually do not have to do that, but instead do Log Off... then log back on again. As this will close everything out that is not part of the core OS, then when you log back on again, it's basically no different then rebooting the whole PC. Reboots are usually only needed as a means to apply changes that can't be done on-the-fly or by a means of a simple refresh.

Sounds like a corrupted install to me. Do a reinstall as others said.

Anytime you think the OS is corrupted or the Local User us corrupted, try just going and making a new Local Account with Admin Privileges and then reboot and log into that new user and run some test and such and see what you think afterwards. So many times it turns out to be just a corrupted user
