I wouldn't expect it any time soon though. We'll probably see a Steam Deck 2 after SteamOS matures and a chip becomes available that offers enough of a performance boost to make it worth it while still running at an efficient TDP.
Holidays of 25 or maybe first half of 26. Don't get one of the Windows alternatives. Steam Deck one is pretty damn modifiable for performance gains so just wait for the SD2 then slap in a bigger battery and heatsink.
Now that the RDNA4 chips are out this will be a game changer for smaller and power efficient devices. PS5-PRO is along this kind of performance spec.
No point in releasing a Steam Deck 2 until it was easily output 1080p or even 1440p @ stable 60 FPS. Otherwise what would even be the point.
