RTX 4/5 series power cable question....

....ehrm I have RTC 3080 and I have two 8 pin cables going to my modular PSU and two cables going to RTX 3080.
I will be buying RTX 5090 when it is available or RTX 4090 but probably RTC 5090 though.
I have upgraded PSU to corsair HX1500i
-Will this be enough for RTX 5090?
- what about power cable, I have read something about RTX 4090 cables melting and stuff. Will I have to use different cables, adaptors to the cables I currently use or what? Are new cables 8 pin to 8 pin or where do I plug them on PSU, to the 8 pin PCI-E , right?

Will a 1.5kw psu be enough for a gpu? - not many choices if it isn’t!

Just plug the connectors in properly, like every other electrical plug really.

Right now there is little info about 5000 series so just wait until more info comes out.

It depends if you have 2022 version of HX1500i or 2023 version.
2023 version has 12+4 pin connector so you can just use that one cable.
2022 version does not and has only 6+2 pin connectors so you need to use those and adapter.

I have checked and I dont have a cable like this. Does it mean that I need to buy a cable like this for RTX 5090 or will it come with the cable like this when it is released? Will I still be able to use my hx1500i? Thanks.
