ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4 - dual channel for ram

Just making sure and trying to get a second set of eyes but for dual channel on the ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4 motherboard you use A1 and B1 or A2 and B2 correct ?

If you all need a link to the manual I can provide it.

Look at your manual as every motherboard can be different, but yes, typically you put your ram sticks in A2 and B2, if you only have 2, to get the best performance.

If you have 4, it doesn't matter. Populate all the ram slots.

Is A1 and B1 ok too ?

Try Slots 2 & 4
Slot 1 being the closest to the CPU

or to put some distance between ram and cpu cooler for larger coolers

I have an Asus TUF series motherboard. Different chipset.

If it helps, my RAM is in slots 2 and 4, if the slot closest to the CPU is 1, then 2-3-4 going outwards.

Make sure you go into BIOS/UEFI to confirm and turn on the XMP profile.

Yes. It is normal to use A2 and B2 first.
