Controllers
Is there a way to change how Steam recognizes your controller? I have a Manba 1 controller with gyro but, it is recognized as an Xbox 360 controller. I think this is why there isn’t a gyro option for the controller. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Don't connect the controller as XInput device, instead use DInput or Switch mode. Usually, you'll find a dedicated switch on the controller to set the mode. You might consult the controller's manual.

When Switch mode is used, the analog trigger becomes a binary input.

steam in put can remap controls
steam uses xinput, which is compatible with dinput games

It may be counter intuitive but you need to make sure to NOT turn controller support in steam settings.
Here are my settings for DualSense. Turning Playstation Controller support would actually make it act like a generic controller.

Try to copy these settings:

Your setting only works bc the dualsense controller is natively supported[www.pcgamingwiki.com] by a certain amount of games.
The dualsense won't work with your recommended settings in games that do not natively support the dualsense controller.

If you want to use a non-XInput game controller on PC in a game or application that does not natively support your type of controller, you need to use an Input wrapper. Steam Input is one of these. It maps the controller's input to XInput and KB+M input.
