That might be why its in the cheaper range. Will this have a 60hz 120hz 144hz option in nvidia control panel too?.
once it stood for quality.. when it still was really made by philips in the netherlands.
and they had manny innovations... like the famous cd with it's hole the size of a dutch 10 cent coin..
if you find old philps electronics from that era.. like an old crt, speaker, stereoset or recordplayer.. they are solid!
but those times are no more.. philips fell.. and sold off it's consumer electronic devision.
philips itself makes no consumer electronics anymore.
what is sold these days as philips products is made by this sold branch in hong kong, china.. by this sold division.
and as it has not longer any ties to the original compagny.. the quality this is down the crapper..
it is a hollow lable.. modern philips products are not REALLY made by philips anymore.
it is a sad story.. for as a dutch.. being forced to only buy foreign electronics suck..
having such a large firm in your nation.. was a point of pride and a failing of the goverment it was allowed to fall as it did.
(some of my grandfathers generations even being very high ranking board members in the firm and my dad remembering delivering groceries as his first job to the maid in the philips estate.. and meeting the old mr philips himself to sell his handpainted backgrounds for the first dutch colour tv broadcasts too)
at least we still have asml.. which started btw as a tiny subdivision of philips.. so imagine how large philips could have been if not run into the ground..
