I just went to do a Windows update and saw this error "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes." I tried googling it and doing some troubleshooting but I cant fix it. Help

It usually means it is behind in updates.

Doesn't it usually say that when it's unregistered?

^ Correct

Un-activated Win10/11 are not prevented from doing proper OS updates

Only because the security implications of blocking updates go beyond the safety of the unlicensed user.

I don't even know where you're going with that.

A user is free to use Win10/11 of any Edition and unactivated all they want. It doesn't hinder ANY usage of the OS what so ever by any means, period.

yep you dont have to activate windows, the only thing it prevents is personalization i.e. ability to change/customize wallpaper, screensaver, etc but again those are just cosmetics and pointless to the usability of the OS

Microsoft lies.

If they say it's important, it is surely not only unimportant, but malicious.

I really dislike Microsoft. Their os is creepy, and Bill is extremely creepy / gross, and stole the desktop os layout from Steve Jobs

He's a piece of work

Bill who? Gates hasn't been a part of WinOS since Vista.

Microsoft is now run by a bunch of woke wuzzies. More greedy then ever too.

Steve Jobs was also a joke of a person, laughable at best, a complete a-hole to say the least.

Nothing stopping you from ditching WinOS and using Linux.
