Networking Stuff
so my aunt have 2 set of routers, 1 ISP for 2 floor, 1 connect first floor
she using 50Mbps, for totally i 25 Devices connected, she like a landlord , so the tenant can connect tho not many, like 5 devices

the problem : the router love to do intermietent disconected , when working , it's working flawelesly , when disconected, entire devices will losing connection
what they have did : Ping to router 2, working fine, ping from router 2 to router 1, fine too, so not cable issue i think,
calling the ISP they said their network is fine, but they still changing the router 1, but the technicician asking me to change the router 1 because it's a dogo excrement, works flawelesy for 1month and then the problem is back

what i want ask :
how to check that my ISP did working flawlesly , so i can change the router easily,
or to check my isp is turd yet they lied
generally how many router can have devices connection

iam typing using my PC so there is no autocorrect so enjoy 3rd grader english

Best thing you can do is configure all routers to join the exiting network (instead of routing a new one).
It means the "extra" routers can work as access points to the network (and internet).
Main Differences. The router acts as a hub that sets up a local area network and manages all of the devices and communication in it. An access point, on the other hand, is a sub-device within the local area network that provides another location for devices to connect from and enables more devices to be on the network.

Also
access points typically only provide access to the router’s established network.

Little google better than my "if so" 3rd grader english

Even if your router dont have this option, you can pretty much bypass it by disabling its dhcp and not using the wan port (force as access point)

So there are a few things that need to be mentioned.

You want to check in which hop the packet loss occurs. Ping plotter will show where this is happening.

Also, when it comes to splitting the connection, I think it would be better not to limit the devices to 5, but to be unlimited, because that won't prevent me from buying a third router so I can use an unlimited number of devices, and since it's not mentioned to have any limits for router NO1, I can easily use all 50 Mbps. So you better set up QoS to always have faster respond time, bandwidth limiter or both.

By limiting it's not actually limiting, more just iam using 5 ports to be for LAN connection for those rooms, like using patch panel, so router 1 have a switch, then those connecting 5 rooms,

What i want to know, do i need expensive routers to handle so many devices, are those intermittent disconnected because my router 1 is not that strong

The Router is free from the ISP, like only 12dollars i googled at locally marketplace

The 2nd one is access point for the first floors, but ill will check it again this weekend, thx man

Hmm, it was overloaded maybe?
Some people ISP router just fine with 50 users at same time, WRONG. My place of work got >=50 users and ISP router can't handle that much.
Even it was just around 20 the symptom show up again, disconnected devices, connected but no internet
And you got 50mbps, this is too old not enough, at least ask them just >=300mbps subcription plan.
It seemed you didn't mention how many ip addresses? What reason do you need 2 routers from ISP? Only you just put one with full high speed and switches easiest plan. Here is how it goes:
(2nd floor, also you mentioned 25 devices maybe 36 ports switch fit)Switches 2<-Main router ISP->Switch 1 (first floor)->Router for her privacy hehe
or
Router for your privacy?<-(2nd floor, also you mentioned 25 devices maybe 36 ports switch fit) Switches 2<-Main router ISP->Switch 1 (first floor)
or these for your budget hehe
(first floor, also you mentioned 25 devices maybe 36 ports switch fit)Switches 2<-Main router ISP->Switch 1 (2nd floor)
or for good of both
(2nd floor, also you mentioned 25 devices maybe 36 ports switch fit) Switches 2<-OpenSource Firewall (something like pfSense,ipfire,...etc) <-Main router ISP->Budget firewall (like Pi-hole or OpenWRT from Rasberry Pi?)->Switch 1 (first floor)->Her devices
I hope you enjoy with your new network setup :steamhappy:

so overload can happen .
by 25 devices is like , 5 directly connected lan via switch, the other using wireless
i dont think my aunt want hi-tech detailed network system like that, but if that is the only the way, guess time to learning that fancy opensource setup
thx man , i appreciate it
