CES 2025! What are you most looking forward to?
CES 2025 is upon us! Less than 3 months away, WOW!!

For those that do not know, the Consumer Electronics Show is like the E3 of electronics, held every January in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Many hardware vendors show off new hardware for PC enthusiasts, gamers, etc.

I am looking forward to, of course, Nvidia's RTX 50 series launch!:steamhappy:

A whole bunch of idiotic, pie-in-the-sky claims; along with a bunch of stupidly overpriced hardware targeted at the bleeding-edge enthusiast market. That no normal user will ever need.

Oh, and lots and lots of AI garbage.

So true!

Like this 500Hz MSI display that was teased at CES 2024: https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/news/2831b66

However, nothing more has been shown!

RTX 5080 is all i need its the last part of the build i doubt i can even wait until January as that means Febuary launch and scalper March followed by April Fools restock.

I may just get a 4060 Ti 16GB stopgap for a bit.

RTX 5070 Super under $600 (probably releasing in 2026) is my next gaming GPU purchase.

I'm more interested in CPUs than the 5 series even though I'll probably cave and sell my 4090 which isn't really smart.

I'd be interested in seeing the notebook 5000s and any performance or stat details. I think the 5080 will likely fall short or beating the 4090 looking at the specs or it may in some ray tracing but not in raster. I really need to get an amd 9800x3d.
all the best performance options as i prefer to be above everyone else
