Yup, and this is also the same reason why i never bother with expensive mouse anymore
Do watch some videos, learn about it, you'll easily have the mouse last decades if you replace the only part of the mouse that is bound to fail, other than the feet.
I would have no issues spending 100 quid on a 'gaming' mouse, so long as it was a perfect fit for me, I know how to repair my own electronics, soldering in new switches doesn't bother me, it's a 5 minute job.
I expect switches to fail, they're limited life, high use products, it happens, I'm not to bothered when they die.
But to each their own I guess.

most use a microswitch like these (make sure to order ones with 3pins, not lugs) and you can remove the lever
