I am confused as to why you'd have Hyper-V on. It is merely a means of running Virtual Machine within Win8. It shouldn't be running if u aren't using it.
but dota runs very smoothly when I have it on
Could u post your full system hardware specs plz.
And this is DOTA2, correct?
I have:
Dell Laptop
Windows 8 Pro
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M370 @ 2.40GHz 2.39 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB (3.87 GB Usable)
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
DirectX Version: DIrectX 11
Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Yes this is dota 2.
Havent't played any other games yet on steam
And set Power Profile to High Performance in Windows Control Panel > Power Options
As far as issues with DOTA2, try changing/lowering in-game settings to those which may help overall performance of the game.
first gen i3 is an older notebook
try cleaning it, and make sure the fans are still working
Thanks for your help. Virtualization is turned on too.
Thanks i'll do it.
