High-end pc or console?
I've always enjoyed pc gaming over consoles. You can get the same games and more, plus the games are more in depth on pc. However, it seems now that you can get a good console for less than half of what you would pay for a high-end pc. It just seems hard to justify spending that much money sometimes when you have a growing family like me. Anyways, what is your opinion. Also, AMD or Nvidia?

thats like always has been, if u want to spend real money on a high end pc please use it for something else rather than playing, other wise consoles are cheaper and more efficient. But if u want more resolution, because the graphics are the same DX11 in pc or consoles, more detail, and mods (when the game allows it) a high end pc is great, but this days u only need to spend 600€ to get a good pc machine to play, u don't need to spend 1700€.

At any case I preffer AMD because the price/quality is better in my oppinion, i own a r9 280x and I can play everything and fullHD at maximum the same card in Nvidia cost 100€ more and i have never had any problem with AMD drivers nor Nvidia drivers.

pc and console have their points

pc can play new games and old
console can only play new games

pc costs more and can be easily upgraded
console is cheaper, limited upgrades, (hdd/ssd)

you can build a pc to play at console specs, low-mid at 720p for around console prices
and upgrade it in the future for higher settigs

for gpus
amd is cheaper
nvidia is lower wattage for similar performance

I did look for a thread before I stated this because I was sure this had been discussed before, but nothing came up in the search. Thanks!

High-end PC = 3x the quality and unlimited features!
Console = Can't be upgraded, low quality and capped.

4th Gen Haswell

Intel CPU i5 or i7

Nvidia high-end gaming graphics card (or AMD if low/mid budget)

Consoles are for kids ages 7-12, designed to keep them off of the PC so you can play it more!

I have both. Xbox One for sports and exclusives and an overkill (over $2k cad) pc for everything else. I think both have their place. As much as I prefer to game with amazing graphics and the control freedom of kbm... Not to mention the limitless modding on a lot of games, sometimes the simplicity of console gaming wins out. I also have a growing family (2 1/2 yr old and a baby due in just a few days) but I think I'll still find myself on my computer more than my xbox (at least until Halo anniversary comes out). What I find the most is myself gravitating away from in depth rpg's and rts' which, even though I love playing them, require too much of a time commitment from me.
