edit:
battlefield 4, ultra quality, 1920x1080
i5-4690k, i3-4330, g3258 (overclocked), x4 750k (stock, overclocked)
maybe more websites will show other results regarding cheap pentium g3258 vs other cheap and expensive processors from both amd and intel.
I mean, it's pretty logical that a low end dual core cant compete with a midrange/high end quad in demanding games.
for games that mainly use 1-2 cores its fine
it has no ht and only 2 cores, cant expect it to keep up with an i5, but its about half the price
nevertheless, the potential is there, affordable gaming.
edit:
the price/performance of pentium g3258 is very good.
(amd-based budget gaming computer is no more?)
The CPU is the heart of your PC, going cheap at that will hurt down the road, and maybe pretty soon at that. Upgrading a GPU is easy and possible through various generations of GPUs, upgrading a CPU is harder and with the change in sockets every or every second generation, can become costly as either a new motherboard is needed to upgrade or the CPUs fitting your board have gone up in price due to not being sold new anymore, depending on when you need to upgrade the CPU.
@OP, what is your final computer specs decision?
It includes OS and A good monitor for the price.
This is also the one am going to bulid.
Thanks for the info
