What cable are you using, if HDMI then might want to try with DVI-D.
Updated all drivers too
Try those settings:
- display mode: full
- picture mode: Eco
- sharpness: 1
- color temp: R 95 G 93 B 97
- AMA: premium
- instant mode: on
- overscan: off
Or:
Picture mode: RTS 1
Brightness - 100
Contrast - 50
Sharpness - 1
Black equal - 0
Color Temp - Red- 93. Green-89. Blue-97
AMA - High
Instant mode- on
In most reviews people are happy with this monitor exactly because it wont ghost.
Guess if you have HDMI cable around in the house you could try with this too just in case and try those settings:
display mode: full
- picture mode: Eco
- sharpness: 1
- color temp: R 95 G 93 B 97
- AMA: premium
- instant mode: on
- overscan: off
- HDMI RGB PC range: 0-255
Other then that dont know what else to do besides sending it back and getting true 144 Hz monitor and not cheap AOC but this:

with a 120-140hz monitor you need 1-2ms
each frame displayed is a complete frame
Yes but it is not a "CAP" like when u set a "Max FPS" with other apps, like EVGA Precision for example. V-Sync is syncing those frames to match the refresh rate, completely different.
But in order for V-Sync to work correctly, the system needs to be able to have a decent average FPS in order to pull off V-Sync well. For example if a game is often giving u random dips well below 60 FPS (and you're on a 60Hz screen) then V-Sync isn't going to help much because it won't be syncing when/if your FPS drops.
Most games don't do a good job of handling V-Sync via its in-game option. Best bet is to disable V-Sync within the game, then force V-Sync in other ways, like through NVIDIA CP or AMD Catalyst. D3D-Overrider is a good app for this. Or using Adaptive V-Sync in NVIDIA CP.
i had this same problem, i called tech support and they fixed it for me. if you still have the monitor go to menu>picture>AMA>OFF(changing it to premium only makes it worse) it will fix it instantly.
Menu > Picture > AMA: Off
