Are there any good 27" VA monitors for 200€?
I used only 60hz full hd ips 24" monitors up to this day and now I am choosing 2K monitor, finally. I remember there were TN monitors in the past and their viewing angles were terrible. So, I always used only IPS. But now I see those IPS and VA monitors on the market and it was curved VA that catched my attention. I am looking at AOC CQ27G2S/ BK 27" currently and it looks pretty appealing (I have basic AOC 60hz full hd ips right now). I think, new gaming experience with this so called immersion thanks to curved screen might be what I need. Perhaps I finally shall try it. But I am very concered about viewing angles. Is it that bad? Is it true that for curved VA you need to buy something expensive?

I personally don't see much problems with VA viewing angles and superior contrast is worth it in my personal opinion. Especially for single player games and movies.

No. They all black level smear badly.

I just realized that since my eyes are nearly half meter away from the screen, those curved angles will not provide as much immersion.

And the curved angles is the only factor that made me to be interested in VA at all.

Curved angles look interestimg amd VA is much better than TN, ofc, but I guess we need to give this tech another 5 years so that there are better options for the price of aberage IPS. At least this is how I see it.

I see LG UltraGear 27GR75Q-B at my local reseller (which is chain and their have store not far from my home in local mall) for 199.99€. Looks like a good deal.

I ended up getting that LG IPS 27 2K 165hz

color range is better on most VA panels.....black level smear is a problem but a lot of them have black stabilizers now that help a lot.....i paid 189 US for a 32inch 165hz 1440p LG that is a VA panel.......i would have returned it if i had not found the options to help with smear.....

As an IPS person I can't withstand colors and viewing angles of those low-tier VA. For the same money IPS offers the picture I am the most satisfied with. It was tempting for me to get those curved angles but so, not happening this time.

For this kind of money you can almost get OLED so makes no sense to waste it on VA.
For 200 euro budget IPS works fine and gives you best quality.
