Most Likely going with the 7900X great enough gaming with way faster zip files/encoding seems like a 10% to 20% FPS Boost wiht the x3d but is the latency any better with x3d? i heard some people tell me that x3d has better input latency
If you are gaming at 4k, then you are most likely GPU bound so you'll probably benefit more from the improved workstation performance of the 7900x.
I have the RX 6800 so yeah 7900x is prob what im gonna get but now idk about the B450 or the X670 I think im going with x670 though cuz more hard drive slots and usb ports plus i dont like the letter B
Unfortunately a lot of the am5 boards do away with sata ports. Most only have 4 now. Only the top end boards may have 6. In exchange am5 boards have more nvme slots compared to am4.
Don't get B450. That is an am4 board that won't be compatible with the 7900x.
The x570 chipset is probably better for NAS applications. Or at least my mid range Asus TUF Gaming Plus Wifi is with 8 sata ports. So you are probably better repurposing your current system for a NAS. That said, you are more likely limited by your case, since most modern cases are not designed with more than two 3.5 inch HDD bays because manufacturers would rather priorize asthetics, rgb, and AIO support instead.
I have the 3700X on the X470 Prime Pro from ASUS right now I am going to most likely turn it into a NAS and a server for a few things I mean the B650 in my previous response not the B450 sorry
