My pc keeps randomly freezing
Sometimes it runs normally for 6-8 hours
Other times it will freeze multiple times in an hour.
I have run stability tests on every hardware component.

Every time i run SFC it finds corrupt files and it says its fixed them,
Then i run it again and there is more corrupt files.

Then time to check all the cable, nothing on event viewer?
DonMcK 4 DIC 2024 a las 23:33
Have you looked at the event logs for errors or warnings?

I asked tech support they suspect either psu broken (in your case not) or caused by mobo mosfets.

If it's always the webview files failing on sfc I don't think I should worry. I think I've seen a similar log before.

The problem is 24h2, just google 24h2 freezes and you find countless other people have the same issue.

What's unfortunate is that Microsoft has actually launched several LTSC SKUs of this operating system, specifically Windows Server 2025, Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC, and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC. These are releases that IT departments and OEMs expect to be a stable platform good for up to 10 years with little more than security updates.
Yes if not ssd or ram probably windows like he said

It's a known issue with windows 11 24h2 that has been going on in PoE1 since that update came out. Unclear if it's a Windows bug that's at fault or if it's the thread scheduler changes Microsoft did to improve performance that has exposed a bug in the PoE engine. GGG has yet to acknowledge or comment on the issue.

Some Ubisoft games are also experiencing similar issues and MS has blocked the update for people that have them installed.

Unfortunately only real fix for now that I know off is to reinstall windows 11 version 23h2 or disable multithreading in PoE but the game will run like ass then. What you can do to mitigate it somewhat is to go into task manager - details and set affinity for the poe process and uncheck a couple cores and hopefully it will let you close the game then and not hard lock the computer and require a reset. You have to do this every time you start the game.
can confirm win11 24h2 bricked my system and made it unusable

thankfully all my important files were on drive d and i simply wiped the c drive and reinstalled win11 22h2
im just sticking with 22h2 for now , no 23h2 nor 24h2 for me

Can confirm that reinstalling Windows 11 23h2 and blocking 24h2 fixed the freezes. It is 100% a 24h2 issue.

My computer has worked flawlessly, until I last night installed Windows 11 24H2 update. Then delay on my keyboard is about 1second and fps in 20 year old game dropped sometimes to 4 (Classic world of warcraft).
Opening control panel took 10 second etc..
There is some serious combability issues on the 24H2 update.

This.

Don't try countless solutions to a problem that was created solely by Microsoft.

Don't install that garbage update, use the registry to pause updates forever if you have to.

If you use ASUS' software, make sure you try disabling it and any other software that does stupid trash like change RGB colors or interface with the board and then test it.

Windows 11 24H2 is not like the other Windows 11 versions and a lot of applications will need to be updated.

Software that changes RGB, fan speed, etc. all need to be updated to work correctly with 24H2 or you will get freezing because those applications use low level drivers that are NOT compatible with 24H2.

Microsoft could do a better job of communicating this to more than just GPU manufacturers, but they are incompetent.

Also, your board may need a BIOS update if it has features that automatically install drivers or interfaces with Windows RE directly even from within UEFI.

I got the message saying this new 24h2 update was ready. After reading all the rubbish people have been put through I have paused updates for 5 weeks (the most it would allow) hopefully in 5 weeks they will have ironed out all the problems.

Side question, when I do finally "upgrade" to 24h2 will I need to download the mb drivers again or will it keep my installed drivers intact?
