Noctua NH-D15 vs Thermalright Phantom Spirit
Which one should I get for the 3700x I have I might upgrade to the 5700X3D, Just wanna replace the stock cooler I've been using for years so I can overclock a little or atleast have my CPU run at a cooler temp with my current settings at 4ghz

Sometimes we bought stuff for ease of mind, like yes Thermalight is good, but Bequiet dark rock is German engineering, and german always right with engineering
Not all about price/value

Nationality isn't all that important in regards to what makes something good, there's nothing really special about be quiet! other than their fan design which is only relevant for people that want less noise. "German engineering" is not a selling point here, the parts come from all around the world and they just put them together a specific way to lower the fan noises' pitch. Anyone can make a less noisy fan, has nothing to do with their nationality.

People want what performs better and doesn't break the bank, that's Thermalright.

Agreed, its performance is right up there with the best, yet cost so much less than them, especially Noctua. I've gotten a Phantom Spirit 120 EVO myself, just waiting for my 360mm AIO to break down to swap, or when I'm in the mood to do so ....
Got also a noctua nh-15 yup on the 5900 temps sit at what is mentioned in the post but i also just turned on eco mode so throw those temps down by 15c

Unless you start gta v and use the mp3 player for your own music then it goes up atleast for me about 20c i reached 88c with it then switch to the game radio stations and bam temps shoot down instantly what a nice power virus xd

What you have to be carefull about is how deep your case is i had to replace my phanteks p400a case for a corsair 4000D simply because the noctua heatsink would prevent me from putting the panel back on

You really should step away from hot mid-towers and join the Full/Super Tower club and see your temps drop even lower than they are now.
anybody know, is there any cheap variant AIO, just like Thermalight but on AIO, asking for a friend :D

ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 420 is one of the best and cheapest around (not to be confused with Arctic Silver which is another company).

I had a 3700x and I'm currently using a 5700X3D, and I have a D15 cooler.

It's overkill for the 3700x, so something mid-range will suffice. Basically anything a little better that the stock cooler, but of course you have to factor in noise level.

If you're going for an X3D then you will need a good cooler and I recommend the D15.

I've had my D15 for almost a decade when I was overclocking an i7 CPU. Noctua sent me the new plate for the AM4 socket for free (keep your proof of purchase!) so it's been good value for me, and I plan on using it for as long as I can. The original Noctua fans are still going strong, too.

Plans have changed and I might be getting the 9800X3D I'm definitely going with noctua if i get that

Why? The temps allready sit in the 60 mark without the eco mode those are 100% acceptable temperatures

The 88c is like i mentioned a known power virus rockstar has not fixed i aint the only one because this temp is higher then any stresstest i done

There are some good options for air coolers on the higher end but when it comes to the noise to performance, quality, durability and customer service like if you need new socket parts later then nothing will touch Noctua.

most things destroy Noctua.....the best option on the market for a tower CPU cooler ironically is a thermalright assassin with Nocutua fans....the 2 fans will cost the same as the assassin, and the package will still be 2C cooler and 30 dollars less then Notua's closest option as a complete CPU cooler....
