Best OS for gaming, and why?

Dude, Win10/11 takes twice as much RAM to play the exact same game.

Trying to claim their specs are bad isnt a counter to their point. Those extra resources aren't being used to do anything extra. They are speeding things up, adding features, or security.

First off, minimum for what? You do realize that games all have different RAM requirements and 2 that those RAM requirements are based on the assumption you are Running Windows right?

So no 16GB ISNT magically the minimum for everything also he doesn't magically have 4GB simply because you want him to , thats called making ♥♥♥♥ up.

And three Linux uses less RAM than debloated Windows without all the hassle, meaning you literally can do more with less.

Don't get me wrong, I never denied that there's misinformation in this thread, there's a ridiculous amount of it, and nearly everyone irrationally believes they're absolutely right. It's disappointing, but what can you do? - call it out, I know, I understand, but it's an endless process and chances are you'll never sway anyone here. All that comes out of this the majority of the time is bitterness.

By no means am I asking anyone to be a meek, conforming weasel, especially in a topic of discussion, facts matter, and you need a backbone to defend your points, but once again, that can be done without spite and unnecessary arrogance while neglecting the nuance of such discussions, the moment you start throwing insults is when the argument's already lost.

Your average Windows user doesn't know what a lightweight OS actually is, there are versions of Linux that can literally run entirely in RAM.

i member back when 1gb of ram was overkill it would probly still been enough for gaming if os was lighter nowdays
