Question about the power cable requirements for 4080 super
Looking online and cannot find an answer.

I might be getting a 4080 super in the next week or so. In my research on it, I discovered you need 3 dedicated 8 pin vga power cables to plug into the adapter.

I currently have an EVGA 1200 plat 80+. The VGA cords that come with it are all 8 pin (6+2). I have enough cords but from what I have read, the 8 pins should not be 6+2. They have to be native 8 pin. Problem is that I cannot seem to find any PSU brands that make the native ones. I tried EVGA and they do not. I looked up Corsair, thinking I would just buy another PSU, but they do not have them.

So my questions are:

1. Is it true that 6+2 will not work. Or could I use 3 8 pins (6+2) to the adapter?

2. If I have to get the native ones, which brand do I need to go with in order to get them?

Thank you!

8pin and 6+2pin are the same thing, the cables are split because some cards are 6pin power so it's done this way for compatibility without having extra cables.

6+2 is pci-e for gpu
4+4 is eps for cpu (mobo)
