did i just get scammed?
bought a logitech g502 lightspeed off of facebook marketplace (i understand the entire website is sketchy and terrible but it was the only thing i could afford) to replace my old g502 that was degrading

for some reason the one i bought the mouse, even though it was still in the box and never opened (according to the owner) it broke on me within 6 months, any way i could get a refund/claim it under warranty or did i just get scammed?

this
if you don't have proof of purchase then logitech probably won't honor the warranty

or it was just stolen

I wouldn't buy peripherals at all from the second hand market if they weren't completely sealed in box and actually proven genuine, should always properly inspect things before parting with cash

Used peripherals are gross because people are gross

With any second hand market you need to exercise common sense, if you get "scammed" when it should've been obvious then it's not really the fault of the marketplace, it's your mistake for just trusting any random person and not inspecting the product

You didn't get scammed - you got unlucky buying a product that was not sold from a source who was able to offer a new warranty/guarantee.

You bought and a separate third party sold you a product on good faith. There was no warranty or guarantee as the seller is not buying/selling stock bought from Logitech for retail sale.
Similarly there are many good items available on Facebook Marketplace, but there are people out to sell junk for money or scam you. You have to be vigilant that the product is want is claimed and you are happy with the price.

"or it was just stolen" - how many did this person have to sell? The most obvious situation is it broke and you are now, six months later looking for a scapegoat.

Short on money, then buy the wired version from a store and keep the receipt in a safe place.

damn didnt see that, if the box have different language from your country, definietly a blackmarket, or not for sale in your country

usually the sticker at the under, BUT because it was not supposedly to be sold in your country, the warranty is not covered or void
in some case, there is chance you still can claim waranty, like i think blackberry have global warranty or something like that
little bit story : my friend bought a laptop ASUS from SG, long story short the LCD is kaput, we brought it to Asus center, and they looking the sticker/ the stamp, and it wasnt from our country, and, bye bye warranty, eventho he bought it legit or new
but that was 2012, maybe now are different

Liquidations, Fire damaged stock, Customer returns, stolen goods, forgeries and god knows what else is sold that way. Check buyers profiles always, if in doubt, walk away.

Its brand new, in original box and unopened,.. Why ?

You realize that during sales you can often find those brand new on Amazon for around the $30-50 range

i doubt you got intentionally scammed by seller but IMO you did get scammed
by Logitech i have 3 logitech g502 proteus and 1 just went bad after 7 years started dbl
clicking.and have just pulled the second out of box(still have 1 more in box)
before i bought the other 2 for back up i purchase the G502 hero and it started dbl clicking
within weeks RMA it same thing RMA that one same thing.

after that i contacted logitech told them i did not want another one and asked
that they please replace with any onther mouse could be the cheapest mouse
they had i did not care.they refused they know these mice are trash.
needless to say i threw away the g502 hero and took the lose and went out
and found 2 more g502 proteus on amazon.

bottom line logitech is not what they once were.they are just like Razer
complete trash.you can still find the proteus on amazon you will pay for it
but worth every penny.
