Pangoly shows the x3D chips as supported.

Maybe by break meaning brick your system? That was very long time ago, when flash Bios wasnt a thing
Thanks for answering! Then according to that site i'm good since BIOS F10 update is needed when I have F12.
Even though it says on that site that i'm good with my BIOS, should one still update it?
Back then did you upgrade your BIOS to the latest update? Or did you pick a specific update that's not necessarily the latest?
Most, if not all, 500 series boards should have received the BIOS that adds support for the 5700X3D by now. If in doubt, you can cross reference the release of a BIOS version and the release of the CPU and get a better idea.
https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B550-AORUS-PRO-V2-rev-10/support#support-cpu
and there it is listed, supported from F10+
so it will work
updating to latest bios should not give any trouble.
(maybe if you've encrypted your drives with bitlocker?)
you'll just have to activate your xmp memory profile again - but with the new cpu you have to do so anyway - I think?
this only happens when your pc loose power in the 1 to 2 minutes while the updating runs.
and yeah decrypt all your bitlocker drives before you do the update if you have any

It is for laptops (I don't know how, and what it means, but see the link...)
This seems to be correct link:

Version F10 of UEFI supports Ryzen 7 5700X3D. You can go with your current F12.
Whatever you decide (update or not):
1. Change only 1 thing at the time.
- either change the processor, check if everything is working, then update UEFI
- or update UEFI, make sure everything is working, then swap the processor
2. Always install stable version (non-beta)
3. Before updating UEFI read the realese notes. See what has changed. Are there any important fixes for you? You don't have to update, if they only added support to things, you don't use.
4. After you start UEFI update, don't turn off PC. The update process looks often very strange. People get confused and think it has hanged. Be patient. Let it finish. Even if it seems that nothng happens. Wait long time until normal boot screen appears.
Good luck!
