if it was in a steam game, most likely a false positive, restore it and config defender to ignore steams folders
put it on defenders ignore list
but if you need proof for something so obvious, then bye.
defender is pretty close
as long as you 100% trust the software you download/install you are fine
defender is easy enough to disable, and scan only when you want or to only scan what you download
(exclude everything but downloads and browser cache)
then its not trying to scan files you are working with or steams downloads while steam is already doing its disk activity while installing/updating
