"You'll need a new app to open this ms-paint link" (nvm I think I fixed it)
I can't double click to open a png file, however, I can right click to choose the 'edit with photos option' This occurred (I think?) when I installed the 3D viewer (on microsoft store, made by microsoft) and I couldn't open pngs anymore because it gave me the error in the title. I uninstalled it and it's still giving me that error. JPG works perfectly fine. What do I do?

Also great job Microsoft, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

'Open with' menu seems to have fixed it. Still, I can't believe I had to go through that because of Microsoft not being able to design software properly.

That can happen on any WinOS if something was set to open up a JPG by default as another program, then that program gets uninstalled perhaps and now nothing is auto set as a default app to open a JPG.

This happens when you remove Edge from Win10/11 as well; as now URL has no set default and you have to go into the default app settings in WinOS and set another web browser to be the default for this.

Easy to fix and fairly common sense too.
