Elgato Constantly Freezing
I was streaming a Switch game to some friends in Discord via an Elgato and the 4k Capture Utility froze up 15 times (a friend started counting after the second one). Searching around online hasn't been any help. For exact details of what happens during the freeze the image on the Capture Utility just stops, but all sound still continues and I can tell the game itself isn't frozen because I can still here things like the sound of menus being navigated despite the video no longer moving. I can further corroborate this because, if I undock the Switch to check in handheld mode, everything is still functioning. My Elgato is currently on software version 1.7.14 (10283) and firmware version 23.04.26. Does anyone know how to fix this?

is the card in a slot with lanes shared by other devices or cards?

check the mobo manual to see how the slots lanes are assigned

It isn't sharing lanes with anything, no.

I don't have OBS, would Steam Labs work in it's place?

If I'm not mistaken, they're almost the same thing (or are the same thing if not a fork). Wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

Also, what exact product do you have?

You mean SLOBS? Which is based on OBS Studio but has many more features.
