i asked my neighbor to help get one of the plugs out so i dont know if he bent the pins when holding the MB or i did when transferring it to the new case
the mobo may be shorting on one of the standoffs
and double check the front panel connectors, sometimes they are a different pinout too
should i put it back in the dell case and see if it works again, ( the thing is i broke the cable for the dell case front usb ports so i just trashed that part)
edit; as _I_ said, check pin connects are correct, easy mistake.
Did something similar years ago, had a machine spread out on a bedroom dresser, cables, psu and hdd's all over, but it worked and we were happy.
After that you should be able to jump it with a screw driver by briefly shorting the power switch pins. Right now your PC is shorting itself constantly with the pin damage present. You have to straighten them so they don't touch.
