Right guys which one will you recommend.?

Asus is a 100squid more. Is it worth paying more?
Or am i just paying for the name..?
But i like how the asus looks help me justify that £100

on a 144hz monitor, you need under 3ms responce time
144hz = 7ms/frame
if it takes 4ms to change pixel colors, thats under half the time to display the correct image

gsync is a nice add if your have an nvidia gpu
but it will take a gtx 980ti to run a 1440p monitor at that kind of fps in games at good settings

I would honestly get neither of those and instead go for the Asus PG278Q. Yes, the colors are worse, but you get a faster reponse monitor since the 278Q is 1ms compared to the 4ms of the 279Q. The TN vs IPS colors are different, but the difference is not significant enough for me to not get a 1ms monitor just because it has worse colors.

But going back to your original two choices, I would say the Asus PG279Q is worth paying more for.
