Should I decrease Total Available Graphics Memory?

So I have 8GB of ram, however, 6.93 is usable. I was wondering if I should decrease the Total Available Graphics Memory, which is about 3.8GB?

yes
1g is more than the intel hd can effectively use

allocating more system ram to it will not help, and just reduces the system ram by that ammount

lower it in bios or with the driver

You can't change those #'s
And the only real VRAM # is the one that says "Dedicated"
The one that says "Shared" is not taken away from the system; that is only there to show a theoretical amount the GPU "could" use.

so you mean to say my PC can still use all that 8GB of ram when the iGPU isn't using it?

if you use a dedicated gpu, and disable the intel hd in bios, windows can use all 8g of ram

I don't have a dedicated GPU. I might in a few months, but Right now I'm stuck with the Intel one. So like I asked before, can windows use all the 8GB of ram if my iGPU isn't using it?
For example, my iGPU is only using 500MB of ram, can windows use the rest of 7.5GB of ram or not? Will it only be able to use the 6.7 or all of it?
