EDIT:
Here's the correct link.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058DOWH6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
many of the turtle beach sets, use 2 inputs, one from the rear for game sounds, and front for mic/voice
then you can adjust them with the mixer box on the set
you can use a headset mic/audio splitter adapter
to seperate the mic from speakers on it
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-2-Male-Plug-to-1-Female-Jack-Audio-Stereo-Headset-Mic-Splitter-Cable-/252153764810
then use windows mic/speaker settings to mix it
That is exactly what I linked to you. 1 female 4 pole to 2 male 3 pole.
I just noticed that I posted the wrong link.

Here you go OP.
Too many things in my Amazon order list :/
Do note that the adapter is very short. That is why the other link for the extenstion was on my order list as well.
that could work but is expensive and not clearly marked mic/headset
check the one i posted
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-2-Male-Plug-to-1-Female-Jack-Audio-Stereo-Headset-Mic-Splitter-Cable-/252153764810
It is marked and does have seperate audio and mic.
What I posted will work. There are a few other options on Amazon that are a few dollars cheaper... but I know for a fact that the StarTech one works... because I actually have it and use it. It definitely has labels for headset and mic aswell.

or you can contact who sold you the headset or turtle beach for the correct module that uses both inputs

Yes that will work; as that is 4-pole female -to- 2x 3-pole male
