Motherboard to pair with i5-4679k?

I want a motherboard to pair with the i5-4690k for 80$ or less. I was considering the Z-97 until I saw its price.

what cpu?
i5 4670k or i7 4770k need z87 or z97 to overclock
i5 4690k or i7 4790k need z97 board to overclock

there are cheaper z97 boards if you dont need sli or cfx capabailties

They can be expensive sure, thats why you have to look around and find exactly what you need.

But $80 simply wont do it, do yourself a favor and save up to around $150 so you can get a decent motherboard. Motherboards are like powersupplies, you dont want to get a crappy one.

mobos kepp your computer togather and allows everything to work correctly do not go cheap on your mobo

Thanks, I just saw an i5 4670k with a mobo for 200$ on ebay Bidding ends tomorrow at 12, so I really hope I can get it. I may replace the motherboard eventually if I get it. The motherboard that comes with is an ASROCK H87M PRO4

the 4670k is much worse at overclocking and runs hotter overall vs a 4690k if you plan to overclock get the 4690k if you do not want to overclock get the 4690 and a acceptable mobo

That is why I will plan on getting another motherboard, but this is an amazing deal if it goes 250$ or less
